Govt. Sr. Secondary School, Rangpo was established on 26th September 1976 by the Department of Education, Govt. of Sikkim.
This School lays stress on harmonious development of mental, physical and moral aspects of the children and to create compassionate, responsible, dedicated and innovative students who could keep pace with the rapidly changing environment and advancement of technology by bringing all round development of the pupils.
